Old school building, room is clean and remodeled! Yay! TV, AC, small and cozy. Right behind central park and upstairs from the cafe. Everything is New for $39 one bed not bad at all. They have $27 rooms as well. Price for my Saturday stay. My bed was squeaky, I didn't mind. Look out for the narrow hallway next to the cafe ...Hotel Tecate!!
Very good hotel for the price. Old school but clean rooms, the owner speaks excellent English. We're travelling with bicycles and we didn't even have to ask whether we're allowed to bring the bikes to our rooms, he just offered.
Un buen lugar para quedarse y céntrico. La atención excelente y precios muy accesibles. Solo que deberían de mejorar la limpieza de los cuartos, ya van como 2 veces que encontro ropa, basura etc. La primera vez me di cuenta y se le avisó a recepción, el señor muy amable fue y limpió pero la segunda vez al irme revisé la habitación para ver si no se me olvidaba nada y ahí fue cuando me percaté de un calzón y envolturas de condones, pues es un hotel de ambiente familiar pudo haberlo o incluso tocado algún niño.
It's a clean $19 usd a night room. I love the value. Felt safe, though I am a guy, I have felt less safe in motel 6's in california. I was staying for a couple days before taking off on a cycling trip. The proprietor let us keep our bicycles in our room. It was clean looking. No smoke smell, older linens, what do you expect for less than $20 a night. Would stay again.
Love Hotel Tecate! It's located on the plaza and lots of fun stuff happen there. Live music, mass weddings. Great restaurants within walking distance. The staff is professional and very nice. It appears remodeling is happening but no worries, the crew is never in the way and all areas are always clean. At least one person in Tecate welcomes us each day.
